USATT Hopes Program Nurtures Young Table Tennis Players

Competitive table tennis player Igor Zernitsky has taken part in various tournaments, such as the 2020 MTTA February Open and the Westchester January 2020 Open. Igor Zernitsky maintains membership in the USA Table Tennis (USATT), the non-profit governing body for table tennis in the United States.

In addition to publishing national rankings, the USATT operates the Hopes Program for young people interested in pursuing competitive table tennis. The program comprises a series of regional and national camps and competitions designed to spark a passion for the sport and foster technical skills in aspiring high-level table tennis players.

The USATT Hopes Program-Road to LA series invites players aged 15 and younger to participate in three-day-long training camp events aimed at helping them qualify for regional and then national competitions. To be eligible for the Hopes Program, players must have been born after January 1, 2008, and become United States citizens who are members in good standing with the USATT.
